When I went back to Vegachí, I was thinking about the idea of memory and imagination. Thus, I tried to provoke not only visual but sensorial experiences based on a game with light, textures and images, where a subjectification process of the concepts ‘museum’ and ‘art intervention’ took place. That was the beginning of The Bloodsuckers project (this name was assigned by the children I was working with). My desire was to show how any action/exercise is defined by a particular context. Therefore, can we call ‘art’ what is not in museums? Is there art outside of them? What would happen if the same images that are exhibited in museums are shown in a wooden house separated by a road full of mud, which is five-hour drive to the nearest town?
